Arrival Story:
After being so lonely without a cat in my life for the first time since I was 3yrs old, I went to the SPCA and fell in love with the little furrball right away. She was so cute, I thank my lucky stars everyday that I have her. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~ And now the long version... My parents split and when my mom moved out she took our 4 cats with her. I went a year without a cat and felt very lonely because I have had a cat in my life since I was 3yrs old. So off to the SPCA I went with my father to chose a cat. Sissy caught my eye right away, she was tiny, adorable and had the most amazing colors (my first look at a Tortoiseshell) and was rubbing up against the cage (in which she had been living in for 3 months). I stuck my fingers in between the bars, she rubbed them and I was in love. My dad was convinced that I should get a kitten so we left and visited other places. I pouted at every visit because I could not get her off my mind; I just wanted her. So the next day I went to get her myself. Sissy was such a trooper, she came home with me wrapped in a blanket, she rode on the subway and the bus home with me. I have loved her every day since, she is MY baby girl, and every chance I get I spoil her.
Bio:
I'm a very shy cat, so when people come over I hide in the bedroom, but I will sometimes come out to visit when everyone has settled... I am very affectionate with mommy & daddy. I love being petted & kissed but I do not like to be held. Mommy can only hold me in one position, and even then I will sometimes leap off her chest to get away. I am not a lap cat either, actually I am scared to be on a lap and freeze up, I won't even walk on you.
The bedroom is my place, I have my own chair, my own blankets and I even eat on the dresser. I often hang out in there and when I want attention I will come to you for loving, or I will come get you and make you chase me back to the bedroom for some alone time loving. I also love my butt to be spanked, but only against the couch, daddy does this best and thinks it is funny how I will meow at him and then turn around for the other side to be spanked.
I still love to play but don't do it very often because I enjoy interaction. If mommy swishes the yellow feather toy I go crazy. I also enjoy attacking those silly things that live under the bed blanket. The only toy I seek out is the catnip pillow. I know it is not very lady like but I love catnip so much that I tend to drool.
Since mommy took in all these other cats I realized I liked being an only cat better. However it's not so bad as long as they leave me alone and don't eat my food (hiss Copy). Shadow is the only one who has always been nice to me, she never chased me, stole my food, hissed at me or stole my spot in bed. She gives me space and we have been known to sleep within inches of each other on the bed. I guess us girl have to stick together. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~ My Gotcha Date is July 14th, 1993 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~ 2011 I have started showing my age and acting like an Olde Furt, I don't groom so well, I move slower, I use a pee pad and I'm skinnier than the mommy would like. I am still feisty, hungry & thirsty and I want pets & lovings. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~ on March 2nd, 2012 at 2am my little body just gave out. I was an old lady fur a few months but my decline was only 2 days and I passed away at home with my pawrents.

The cutest torties:
The sweetest torties around are Mara and Malaika and they are twins! Mara is an angel on earth while Malaika is an angel in heaven. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ And there is also the cutest young tortie Galena who has found her furever home with Mara and the gang.
My adopted big sis:
I have decided to adopt Scooter as my big sister. Everyfur needs a wise furriend and I love turning to her for advise...she is so sweet & caring.
Featured kitty:
My current featured kitty is an adorable Tortoiseshell with the most amazing slip colored faced, her name is Dramedy. Her pawrents named her after the duel masks of theatre.
Her tortie sister is adorable too, little Bella was named after Bela Lugosi the Hungarian actor best known as Dracula.

My sisfur Shadow tagged me to play tag, so here goes...
1. Meow! Are you a noisy kitty or a quiet kitty?
I am quiet unless I want something, then I yell! MOL
2. Litterbox! Cover your business or let some other kitty cover?
I always cover by poop because I go inside the litter box, but I pee on a pee pad on a mat so I cannot cover those.
3. Happy! Favorite Daily Routine?
I enjoy my daily chin scratches and head kisses from mommy, she always makes sure to give me lovings even if I don't ask fur them.
4. Hiss! Least Favorite Routine?
Being brushed and getting my knots pulled on. I know I am not the most flexible but I can twist enough to bite mommy or daddy's hands.
5. Ding-Dong! What do you think about visitors to your house?
I used to always hide when visitors came over, but now I know that if my pawrents are around no one will hurt or bother me. And they mostly don't notice me on the shelf behind the couch unless I move or walk around.
6. Friends! Do you like other animals?
As long as I am left alone I don't mind other cats. Lately I have been going out onto the deck even when the neighbour cats are there.

Fur an Olde Furt I am doing fine! I may be a skinny olde lady who loves to nap on the shelf behind the couch but I do ask fur love and I do still have frisky moments. I wait by the food bowl to be fed and yell at mommy if she is too slow, I jump up on and off the couch okay, I demand to be let out and I stick my nose in mom's food plate to see if there is anything I want to eat. I may not be able to groom as well as before but if I see that comb come out I know how to run away, and should I get tackled by my pawrents I do know how to complain so they stop pulling on my knots. Mommy has been telling me she thinks I may need another bath. Yes I meowed another, I had one in the spring, apparently you should not sit on a cutting board covered in oil after your daddy chops up sundried tomatoes. I also love to run around the house or sit in the sink to get drinks from different cups & bowls, I even ask to go outside and drink from the bowl out there - a girl needs variety. The fun part has been sneaking downstairs into the yard to chew on grass. Mommy loves watching me adventure and is always ooh-ing and ahh-ing as I sneak down the stairs and hop up them to come home all by myself. Lately I have been sneaking down there on a daily basis, and yesterday I even snuck under the fence into the other yard fur a taste of their grass. It sure is fun being able to do what you want and never getting in trouble!

Oh my Catness - I cannot believe I am Cat Of The Day today! Thank mew Catster Top Cat fur picking me, it only took almost 5 years to be noticed but I am a patient girl so I waited. I am the first in my furmily with this honor, and I should be first pick too since I got my page created first and I am the oldest. Right?
And look at me, I am on the homepage with my Octopus Halloween costume! I really like my costume this year, I was a good model and afterwards I stayed in my spot waiting fur more pictures, I probably could have modeled all the costumes without hesitation. Mommy sewed all of our costumes again and this year none of us had to stick our arms into our outfits which made us all happy, well except fur Cooter, he is always crabby when it comes to picture taking.
Thank mew all fur your kindness, I hope this isn’t too much excitement fur a little Olde Furt girl like me!
