Arrival Story:
i was born downtown big ole aurora in a teeny, tiny house with my other tortoiseshell siblings and one black one (who's now trixie!). a hyper little girl and boy were always trying to catch me, but i'd run fast and hide under the table ;) it wasnt a bad life, but the fleas were awful and the kids never let me sleep. one night a nice calm man and lady came and sat on the floor, and i just couldnt help but jump on and attack their legs--they seemed so nice. they didn't even try to snag me! the man started holding my black sister (whom they thought was a boy!), and i could tell they really liked her, so i got more hyper so they'd notice me. they sure did :) the lady picked me up and said she liked my "crazy face" the best and the next thing ya know we were put in a small box and it was really dark. i was pretty scared, but the lady put her hand in and petted us. then we got to our new home and WOW, was it nice! there were tons of boxes and pillows and strings and carpet and all kinds of fun stuff to play with. and lots of good food and water, too :):)

mom and dad said they call me Rat cause when i was a baby, my tail was really long and skinny like a rat's tail, and i was always flicking it around. so, the name just stuck! so...even tho rats are ugly and icky, im the cutest rat around! haha!! i think i am mommy's favorite, but i wouldnt ever tell the others. mommy thinks i am just so silly and cuddly and she loves the way i talk to her! plus i am very acrobatic when i play and she always laughs. mommy also likes to sing a song to me that goes like this, "Mee-eee annn-annnd, Ratti-cal McJones ...McJonesMcJonesMcJones... we gotta thiiiinnngg...goin onnnn..." i love it!! :D
