Kittens - Who needs them

Yet again, my Mom is fostering kittens. It seems like every other week we have new kittens in the house. Am I not cute enough? On Saturday she picked up a litter of 5 kittens, and they get to stay in MY sunroom. Sure, I can still go out there, but they follow me around, asking what kind of conditioner I use on my long hair, and how I got to be so handsome at such a young age. Luckily they haven't figured out how to climb very high, so I am pretty safe on the cat trees. These are a little bigger than the last litter, so maybe they won't stay here as long. She is lucky that I am such a tolerant cat.

Last night my Mom brought home a video for me and my housemates. She said it was a "Cat video". It showed birds eating, and squirrels and such. I can see that every day from my cat tree, but my housemate Sally was entranced by the video. She really seemed to enjoy it.
Mom was much more attentive to me last night. She made time to cuddle with me in the afternoon, and understood when it was time for me to go to bed.
Today I think I will catch up on some sleep, maybe eat a bit, then sleep some more. It's going to be a busy day, so i better get started.

Looking forward to the weekend

It's finally Friday! I so look forward to the weekends because that means my Mom will be home during the day. On a good day, she will let me run around the backyard for a few minutes while she is feeding the birds, or take a nap with me on my bed. I talk to her more on the weekends, yodeling in the hallway until she comes to talk to me. I do that on some evenings too, and usually I am calling her for bed time, but she doesn't always get that.

We might even get to go out into the garage this weekend. That is a lot of fun. I get to explore those dark places. For awhile I would look for mice, but I think they have all moved out now. Every once in a while I sneak out there when she is walking in from the garage, but I am usually told to get my tail back in the house, so I do.

I should get some rest now, so I can be ready for the weekend.

Monday again?

My weekend was good. I got to spend some quality time with my Mom cuddling. I don't care if the other cats look at me strangely.

On Friday I started to watch the video that Sally likes. It was actually pretty good. I kept looking around to the back of the TV, but i couldn't figure out where the squirrels or birds were going to. One minute they were on the TV screen, the next minute they were just gone. It was amazing.

I got to run around outside last night! It was great! Of course, my Mom had no idea I was out there. She realized I was "missing" around 8PM, and came out and got me and my roommate Sally. Of course, Sally was sitting at the door, waiting for Mom to open it for her, but not me. I was running around the cactus garden, looking in all the nooks and cranies that I don't normally get to visit.

It was getting a little cold though, so I didn't really mind coming in. I had eaten all the grass I could, and I was getting tired, so I was fine with going inside and going to bed.

I wonder if I will be able to escape again tonight. Next time I need to make sure Sally isn't with me, she is a dead giveaway that we are not where we are supposed to be.

It's my Birthday!

Yeah, I'm 7 years old now. Now my room mates have no choice but to look at me as their elder. I am wise beyond my years.

This morning my Mom gave me some extra treats, just because I was a big boy now.

Tonight I am hoping to get some extra outside time, without her coming over and picking me up to take me back in. I hate it when she does that, it is sooo embarrassing. Especially when the "feral" cats are watching.

I get to open my gifts tonight. I hope its not another collar. There is nothing worse than getting clothes for your birthday. I am hoping for a good toy or two, and maybe my own can of food for the evening. And of course some extra cuddle time with Mom.

Well, time to sign off. I need a good nap. I want to be well rested by the time Mom gets home from work.
