a visit with The Man

Yesterday The Man came over and spent some time with us. I love it when he comes over. He brings me special treats, and brushes me and calls me "My Lola". Loki doesn't seem to mind it as much as when The Lady picks me up and pets me. Then he jumps on my head and bites and bites until he gets a good piece of my fur in his mouth. The little devil cat! Last night I caught him eating my hair out of the hairbrush.

The Man and the Lady left us alone for most of the day. When they came home, they sat on the couch and we all watched TV. Then The Man got up and just left, just like that!! I stared sadly at the door for a while but he didn't come back.

This morning I decided to jump on the bed and cuddle with The Lady, but I must have miscalculated because instead of sinking my claws into layers of thick mattress, I landed on The Lady's arm and she screamed. "ARRRRRRRRRGGGGHHHH!!!!!" I was frightened and ran away. Later I calmed down and returned to the bed, but I stayed near the feet. This seemed safer to me.

Hair loss & a new bag

The Man came over again tonight. He brought Loki and I a bag to play in. I am far too dignified to ever crawl inside a bag, but Loki jumped inside it right away. Hmph! I waited until he was done playing and then I strategically sat on top of the bag so that he couldn't climb back inside.

He paid me back by pretending to lick my head and then biting it. Bad kitten! Sometimes I wish the Lady would just take him away and never bring him back. Once a while ago she took him away and I was SO HAPPY! I purred and slept in the bed with the Lady and followed her around the apartment just like old times. Then he came back, smelling like the Bad Place, and he seemed different somehow. He didn't move or jump around as much.

Well, those days are over. He's jumping around like a crazy cat all the time now. I just try to stay on my shelf and keep clear of him. I keep wondering when the Lady is going to take him away again. I don't really want to him to away for good but a little vacation would be nice. Just a few days..give me a chance to grow back some fur.

I hate Halloween!!

The lady made me wear a stupid hat and a leafy collar. I guess she thought that was "cute". Hmph. I am NOT a little pumpkinhead no matter what she says. I didn't appreciate the laughter either. Fortunately she took it off after a few minutes so I didn't have to poop in her shoes...THIS time.
