I'll catch a treat in mid-air and take it to my mouth; I know that the knob of a door opens it and I curse that I don't have a thumb; I'm the smarts of the three-cat operation that runs this house; I play a mean game of hide-and-seek.

Dwells:

Arrival Story:
I was living in a garage and didn't really see anyone... then one of mom's friend's took me from that house because he felt bad for me. My first owners said I was bad because I scratched the children, but they pulled my tail! What was I supposed to do? Anyway, the friend couldn't keep me where he was staying, so then I got to go to mom's beach house. Score! I loved smelling the ocean air and watching the birds. But, I still didn't like people and just wanted to be alone. So, I went through many months of therapy with mom until I learned to trust people again. ...

Bio:
Mom read some book about cat socialization, and I guess it worked all right. I mean, I don't just attack people cause I feel like it anymore; now I only bite them when they deserve it. I do like traveling with the bipeds. I enjoy looking out the car's window, telling my fellow passengers about everything I see. I used to have to commute to dad's house every weekend until both mom and dad got jobs in the same area. I'd pack up my toys and get in my carrier. I'd sit in the front passenger seat and give mom driving tips. Those were the days ... before my two little sisters came along.

My friend Milo

I am very sad to hear that my friend Milo of San Jose has died.

Milo was a big inspiration to me. Years ago, before I used the Internet frequently, I discovered Milo's page on Catster. The following are some things I remember about Milo from way back in the day, years ago when I first met him.

Milo was:
• The very first cat I corralled on Catster. I was very impressed with his page. Truthfully, I wanted to be like him.
• One of my first friends on Catster. He welcomed me and my sisters to the Internet world.
• How I persuaded the Investor to sign me up and devote time to my Catster page. She was equally as impressed with Milo's page, and she supported my efforts to be as cool as Milo.
• A big supporter of my Catster page. When I thought I wasn't doing a good job, he told me I was doing great!

Milo, you will be greatly missed. Purrs to your family in this difficult time.

A birthday!

Three goldfish and a suckerfish, all of California and at least four years old, died within the last few days in their tank they've called home since 2002. They lived happy, long lives, moving several times with the family, sometimes as far as several hundred miles. The most recent move several weeks ago proved to weigh on them too heavily physically, the family said.
The family tried using antibiotics to clear them of medical conditions they had developed but were unsuccessful.
"I will miss them," said Kat 3, a 3-year-old member of the family. "I would sit on top of their tank and watch over them, sometimes spending so many hours there with them that I would fall asleep sitting up."
Funeral services were held in the backyard.
