Arrival Story:
On the afternoon of Wednesday, April 27th, 2005, my husband rescued Reebok and Nike from where he works. They had a little sister and were living in a storage area where some guys were feeding them. Their sister was taken home and named Seagate. The guys told my husband about the two boys so he went to look at them. He called me on the phone to talk about fostering them and then turning them over to Safe Haven rescue to help them find their permanent homes. They were picked up by hand, put in a box, and brought to our house! We made a vet appointment for that afternoon and the results were all good. I gave the boys a nice little bath TOGETHER in the bathroom sink, treated them with Revolution, and saw just how handsome they were. Then we set up the guest bedroom for them to get comfortable in their new surroundings.

Needless to say, these guys never left! When Reebok and Nike were babies, they often used the litter box together and it was so cute! Although you'll find Reebok napping with the other cats, there is something special about seeing him cuddled up with Nike because it reminds me so much of when they were babies and I know that they have a special bond. When Reebok was a baby, his way of meowing at us sounded like "eh-ehhhhh" and this is still the way he talks to us today. He's a real sweetheart and loves to sit by me or on me when I'm watching TV or on the computer but he is so big now! He's always been a big eater but a mild-mannered and sweet boy.

I get lots of praise when I'm seen walking into the litter box on my own and dispense my liquid gold in there, like they think I'm supposed to. Good boy, good boy, good boy, Reebok!
Well, the past week, not only have I been dispensing liquid gold in the litter box but I was seen dispensing liquid bronze (poo)! Hmmm...doesn't stop me from eating and drinking but I'm going to be watched very closely now.
I decided to shake things up again when Mom walked in the door tonight. I was on the couch and walked right over to one of our beds on the couch and dispensed some liquid gold on it just to let her see. It was so convenient as I only had to take two steps from where I was. I didn't get any praise though so I don't know what's up with that.
I was going to tell you about my liquid bronze earlier this week but I didn't want you to think I was bragging.
Mom says I'll NEVER be one of SAMOA'S dreamboats!

Well, one of the Litter Robots did get moved to the downstairs bathroom weeks ago, and a pet gate got put up.
My parents really like this idea because it makes the bathroom cramped and they have to step on litter bits more often! So, sometimes they'll go upstairs just to go potty! We have three full bathrooms and the second bathroom upstairs is taken over by us too!
But, the important thing is how do we, especially me, like it? Well, at first I stood outside the bathroom staring at it while the others were so very happy to use it! It's the most popular box right now in the house and gets filled up real fast!
So Mom started carrying me into the bathroom when she thought it looked like I might wanna go pee and put me into the box. So guess what I would do? I would use it! I think this is great, getting free transportation into the potty box! Mom can do this around the clock, right?
Have I had anymore episodes of dispensing my liquid gold in inappropriate places? The answer is YES, when I feel like it!
It's good to be lazy!

I'm a finalist in the Craziest Tail category and so is Melody! I was sleeping when Mom noticed my tail and I kept it like that for a very long time. I wish I could remember what I was dreaming about, but I'm sure it must've been about food!
Well, well, well....looks like one of our Litter-Robots is getting moved to the downstairs bathroom and a pet gate is going to be installed on the doorway. I heard "no" coming out of Dad's mouth and "yes" coming out of Mom's mouth, but Dad finally realized it was worth a try and I'll do my best to stop dispensing liquid gold where I'm not supposed to!
