Arrival Story:
I didn't always live where I do now. I spent the first few months of my life living with a really nice lady that worked with my Mommy. The nice lady had to give me up and asked my Mommy if she knew anybody that could give me a good home. My Mommy and Daddy lived with my two sisters in an apartment about three miles from where we are now. There was a neighbor right next door that really wanted to have a kitty so it was decided that I would go live there. The new man immediately left young little me outside and deemed me an indoor/outdoor kitty. Which would have been ok I guess if he had let me all...even sometimes...or left food and water for me. So I lived outside. It was Fall and the Fall here in Oregon is cold. And wet. I would see what would become my Mommy. Every time she would come outside I would ruuuuun to her just as fast as my little feet would carry me. She always checked on my water and food bowl on the other deck and they were always empty. I was cold and hungry and lonely. It didn't take long before Mommy made me a cozy box on her own deck and lined it with polar-fleece. My Mommy would put food and water out for me. She was the bestest cook and would put the yummiest crunchy bites out. Often my Mommy would sit outside and hold me. I loved helping her take the trash out to the garbage area or to go down and get mail because I could ride up high on Mommy's shoulder. I would balance there and sometimes stick my butt in her ear. On Saturday mornings or any other time I could hear my new Mommy in her apartment, I would hang off of her window screen and just yowl my little head off. New Mommy wanted to bring me in and keep me, I could tell. But she was worried what new Daddy would say and what my new sisters would do to me. Finally one day, after maybe one month of watching me live on her deck, Mommy brought me in the apartment! Woo hoo warmth! Aiiieeeee my new sisters did not like me. My new Mommy waited and waited for the man next door to say anything about me at all but he never ever did. I guess I'm a stolen kitty. I've been here since the winter of '99 tho' and I love it here a lot.
