Chirp Chrip

Hi friends! I hope you all had a nice Halloween. I saw one kid and spent the rest of the night sleeping downstairs in my bedroom. Scary!!!

We had a busy weekend. Halloween, then Hello Kitty's 35th Birthday and then my mom's birthday today. Thanks to all my sweet friends for sending her good wishes. Guess what I gave her???? A cricket. I found it and trotted inside with it. Then, with my mouse closed tight on it, I cried the loudest meow mom had ever heard. Once that got her attention I dropped it and showed it off. Then it chirped and tried to move so I ate it. I am a cat after all. Mom was very pleased and gave me lots of pets.

Things are kind of different around her lately. Mom had her office furniture moved into our house and she is now working from home. I am having fun checking out all the new furniture and places to sleep. The printer is pretty fascinating too. The only thing I don't understand is why she is home so much but can't pet and pay attention to me the whole time. Her hands are always trying to type so I try to get under them. tee hee

Knead on Calvin

Our dear friend Calvin made his journey to the bridge today. He will be greatly missed. I am at a loss of words right now. We are sending purrrrs of comfort to him and his family.

A busy weekend and voting page

Hi friends. Once again I am hear to tell you about how busy things are at my house and how we have been missing our Catster time and friends! I guess it's all for a good cause so I should not complain. Yesterday was Oregon Humane Society's annual telethon to End Petlessness! Saturday mom spent the day at the shelter putting the sets together and getting things ready. Sunday she worked at the studio processing the gifts people were calling in. It was a lot of fun. Best of all OHS raised $262,000 and had 78 pets adopted! All in one day!! Woo Hoo!!! OHS beat their goal of $230,000. Thanks to our amazing community for continuing to support our great organization. Mom said she would see donations for $3 or $5 and knew that those were the most special because many people don't have that much to give but still wanted to help. How fantastic!

The other reason we have been so busy is that mom's office is closing and she will be moving her office to our house. Yikes!! Lots of things getting rearranged as we don't have a very big house. She has been cleaning stuff out here and there and everywhere. I guess the good part of all this is that I will now be able to assist her in her work EVERYDAY without leaving home. Woo Hoo! I can help her with paper filing and typing on the keyboard. I am especially good at that one.

Mom was able to spend some time this weekend submitting a couple of photos of us for the World's Coolest contest. We also spent quite a bit of time voting. So many cute entries, as always. Here are our pages:
