Arrival Story:
After 2 years with Ben and Harvey we decided a third cat might mix things up a bit. Harvey was showing signs of boredom, so we thought a playmate might help since Ben isn't a really active cat and gets put out when Harvey tries to motivate him.

Butters came from Az Furry Friends rescue. He was born into a hoarder household and rescued from there when he was a young kitten. By the time we came along he had been fostered out to Vicky. Butters isn't too thrilled with Ben, and aftr a ouple days with us decided to show us he was just as much cat by starting to spray. So, he and Ben are roomies now (they have learned to appreciate eachother) and doing the Buspirone and Bottled Blessings treatments together. Butters also discovered a fondness for peeing in the bathtub rather than the litterbox but I have changed to clumping litter, scoop regularly and have placed a second box in their room (in the tub) - problem solved. Yes, that's right - no more inappropriate elimination since July and he has only sprayed 2 times. Woo Hoo!! Honestly, back in June one evening I was at the kitchen sink getting their food ready when I realized Ben was on one side of the kitchen spraying cabinets and Butters was on the other side doing the same, I just shook my head but I'm sure neither of them knew how bad I just wanted to pack a bag and hit the road. That was our low point, it's been better ever since.
