Hello everybody, mom just signed me up with Caster and I am so happy to meet some friends!

Lately, the dogs have really been annoying me and although brother likes to play with them, I'd rather make some kitty friends.

I am eternally greatful that momma found this website and even if dad is skeptical, I have high hopes that we will be visiting often!

My experience as Diary of the Day!

Oh my! Mom says I got "Diary of the Day"! Since we are still very new to Catster, I didn't quite know what an honor this was, but even better than that is all the treats, messages and new friends that I have made from this. I didn't know how Spice would feel about it but all the friends on here have also showed him lots of love! I must say, it was a bit overwhelming at first going through all the nice comments and treats I received but it has been such a nice experience! Even dad said he is proud of me!!!!!!

Mommy's Procrastination = New condo and beds for us!

Hi all,

I would like to tell you about the new kitty condo and beds my brother and I are enjoying. You see, mom had a lot of schoolwork to do this weekend, but she finds creative ways to procrastinate. This time, we were the lucky benefitters of her procrastination!

I woke up from a nap to find a new kitty condo, waiting for me to play in! But it doesn't end there, I also found 2 new beds...perfect! One for me and one for brother. And best of all, mom made them all by herself with things she already had at home.

She used 2 cardboard boxes and joined them together to make our condo. Then she used felt fabric that she had left over from another project and covered the boxes with it to make it look prettier.

She used another cardboard box to make a bed. She used it as the base, placed a blanket on it and made it all fluffy and comfy. Then she used an old pillow case to cover it up and ta- da! The bed was finished.

Brother was sleeping most of the day, so I got to try the beds out and choose the one I liked best. Most of all, I loved playing in the condo and this made her so happy. When brother woke up, he didn't know to go inside the condo so he climbed all over it instead. Silly Spice hehe.

Mommy tried to get pictures of us playing, but it was night time already and the light was bad, so she will try again soon so you can all see. Next she is thinking of making us some fun scratchers and trying to convince dad to make a cool cat tree too!

Sugar survives 19 story fall!!

Hi everybody,

Don't worry, I'm fine...it was another Sugar who fell out of her window on the 19th floor and is ok! My mommy saw the video and we thought it'd be nice to share. Mommy seems very amazed and thankful that nothing happened to the other Sugar but really, I find it a bit offensive, doesn't she know by now that us cats are amazing???! The Kittens in Mommy's Room

Hi everyone,

My mommy is fostering a litter of kittens that a friend found under a truck out in the cold. They were very dirty and she took them in. They are so young that they still have their umbilical cords attached! There's 5 of them and they are doing better now. She has been bottle feeding them with KMR, the replacement formula for kittens every 2-3 hours round the clock. She even helps them go potty at every feeding time. They have a ziploc bag in their basket with hot water that mommy wraps in a towel to keep them warm. Now that they started pooping, they are getting messy, since they don't always wait for her to help them and they move around, getting it on eachother. Mommy tries her best to clean it off, but since she can't bathe them, she sometimes gets frustrated that she can't clean it all off with just the damp cloths. She wants them to be as clean and comfortable as possible. She won't really let me or my brother spice around them, keeping them in her room and she doesn't let us in. I heard her tell dad though that she wonders if me and Spice would like the kitties and help her clean them and keep them warm. But dad thinks we are too yougn to know how to care for kittens since we are only 8 months old, and Spice hissed at the basket when mommy first brought them home. Mommy is also concerned about us, and hasn't let us around them because she thinks their is a risk the kitties might make us sick. Both mommy and daddy are very tired, since they have to be getting up through the night to feed and clean the kitties on top of their regular work schedule. The kitties are keeping them too busy and they have hardly played with us lately. I am interested in the kittens and will try to sneak into the room to catch a glimpse of them, but I always get caught. I'm not sure if I'm suppoed to like them or hate them????

Kittens and Rainbow Bridge

Hi all,

I am very saddened to say that two of the kitties I wrote about in my last entry have crossed over to Rainbow Bridge this morning. Mommy and dad are very sad and are beginning to feel discouraged. It was all so very sudden and tragic. Please keep the remaining three kitties in your thoughts and prayers. We are really hoping that they will make it so my brother and I will have friends to play with.
