We celebrate

Thursday will be my big brother Louis's 5th birthday and St. Patrick's Day! We will go look for a pot of catnip that day and hope we find one. If you keep reading my diary, I think you are gonna find that I can be quite the mischief maker. My mom says she has never seen a cat quite like me. I get into everything! I just like to see in every bag, box and drawer. Today so far I have been pretty good. I did knock one small plant off the plant stand. I was trying to see out and it just got in my way.
I don't know why this happens so much to me. Oh well, time to go look for something to investigate. 8)

My name is mud

Well I was kind of a bad kitty this weekend. I guess I got bored and so got into a number of things. I knocked 4 plants off the plant stand this time. I really like to sit on it and just don't have enough room for me and the plants too. My mom says it is a bit too flimsy for a big boy like me. Then one day I started to claw one of my mom's paintings on the wall. Oh boy did I ever hear it for that one. I just like to touch it though as it feels so nice. I know it is hard for people to understand things like that about kitties sometimes. Oh my- I see some real cute little fake Easter bunnies have been set out out as decorations. Tell me not to touch them.....tell me they aren't for me.....no....I must not touch......oh but so cute and destructible.... THAT'S IT- I have no self control and I am off to attack those fuzzy bunnies...........
see ya!

Fun with buns

Well I may have gotten myself into a bit more trouble yesterday around here. Louis and I were home alone. Louis was snoozing so I needed to have some fun. Much to my delight, my mom had forgotten to put the bag of hamburger buns away! Oh how I love hamburger buns. Yum! So I took the bag and carried it around the house. Buns kept falling out of my sack and once they did, I had to stop and take a bite out of them. I just could not resist. Then I went on until another bun fell out of my sack and another bite. I sure enjoyed every minute of the bun fun. My mom had a fit when she came home and saw the mess. Hehehehe. Now if only I can find a way to get to the loaf of bread I'd be one happy little guy.

The Big Monster

I have not added anything to my diary in awhile. I've been real busy with watching birdies, chipmunks and squirrels since the windows are all open now. I also get lots of catmail these days and there are only so many hours in the day what with nap times and all. 8) Anyway, I have to write about the ugly, stinky monster I saw yesterday. I was having a leisurely nap atop our cat tree. Suddenly I hear all this growling and squealing! I look out the window to see a big ugly monster standing on my street. A guy gets outta the monster, grabs a bag laying on the ground and tosses it right in the mouth of the monster. It kind of has a long trunk down like an elephant but with a big bin attached. That's where the food goes. Then it growls real loud and raises its trunk up and over it back. Then the weirdest thing as it threw up the food into its own back. Now my mom tried to tell me it was a garbage truck but I never heard a regular truck squeal and growl like that. I had heard this before a lot but this was my first good view of it. I'm going to be watching out for that monster every day from now on. And oh does it ever stink!

Unequal Rules

The other day I made a long, daring leap onto the plant stand. I know you will find this hard to believe but I knocked a plant off the stand. Yikes! I get in big trouble for that. It fell and hit the cat bed so the pot didn't break and the plant was fine. Very little mess to clean I might add. But my mom was still kinda upset with me.
Well the next day my mom was walking by the same plant stand and a vine hooked on her shirt. The plant flew off of the stand and the pot broke into a million pieces! OK maybe not a million but a lot and you get the idea. Dirt was everywhere. It was a huge mess. My mom should have been mad at herself but I never heard one word. So I ask you, is this fair? I think I need to protest the unequal rules that seem to govern this place. Or maybe leave the plants alone. Oh no, though, could never leave them alone. What's a cat to do?

Snow Bugs

I thought it was about time I did a diary entry. A lot has been going on so I did not have the chance sooner. Anyway the most exciting thing happened yesterday. Those big white snow bugs started coming from the sky again! I had not seen them in a very long time. But they were back. They fascinate me as I sit in my cat tree and watch all those bugs float down and cover the grass. Oh what I would give to catch just one snow bug. Louis has been out on a leash walk when the snow bugs were landing. He said they were cold and wet. He also said they can vanish the second they touch you. Then other times they just kind of hang on your eyelashes and hair. Pretty amazing if you ask me. :) My dad doesn't like them much as he has to go out and shovel them off the driveway when we get too many. But I will continue to intently watch them as they go past the window. So light and pretty. I really love snow bugs.

My Fourth Birthday

I have not put anything in my diary for awhile so I thought today was a good time to do so. Each year that I have a birthday I wonder if that is the year that I will quit being so mischievous and into things all the time. But each year I decide that no, that is not the year and maybe next year would be better. After all I do so enjoy my fun. Maybe my 4th birthday is the year to calm down though. I mean how many loaves of Italian bread and buns can I possibly steal in my time? How many plants can I uproot? How many miles can I run through the house back and forth? My impulse is to say that the answer to those questions is infinite. I suppose thinking like that might tend to get in the way of calming down though. Oh no, what do I see? A fresh new loaf of Italian bread sitting idly on the toaster oven. It looks like I am not going to behave myself today. I am going to grab that loaf of bread and run!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) Happy Birthday to meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee....

To Catch a Thief

I've never denied being a thief. I've written in my diary before about stealing bread for instance. So it should come as no surprise that I have been busy taking a few more things that I am not supposed to have. My main sought after item of late is any of the small bags of cat treats that sit up on the counter. I am actually allowed to have the contents of those bags, just not when I might happen to want some. So I am left with no choice but to steal them. I generally do this in the morning while my mom is checking her email and just busy on her computer. I do have a conscious though and usually carry the bags right to her. That's also part of the cute factor that keeps me out of trouble with most of my thefts. It also gets me a couple of the treats! Yes! Crime does pay. However this morning I found something new to steal that did get me in a bit more trouble. I wasn't sure what was in the bag I found neatly sitting on the coffee table but I figured it just had to be cat treats for me. So I picked the corner of the bag up to run with it and oh no! A whole bunch of jelly beans fell out of the hole my dad had put in the bag so he could steal some of those jelly beans. With all the racket the jelly beans made spilling onto the coffee table and the floor, I was caught in record time by my mom. So I guess the moral of my story is- If you want to be a good thief, don't spill the beans. Hehehe.

That Darn Video

Well I thought it was about time for an update to my diary. And some comments on my video. Nobody is more surprised than me to see myself being caught in the act so many times. I rue the day the digital camera was invented! Of course I don't actually remember all those incidents being captured on a camera. Maybe I was too engrossed in what I was doing that I didn't notice the camera. Or maybe the photos were all made up in a graphics program to make me look bad. Yeah- that's IT! I mean why in the world would I stand in the middle of a plant for instance? How strange is that? Mol! (It really was fun to do.) I guess the one good thing is apparently some of you can't see the videos for various reasons. If ya can't see it then you'll never know what all I have done so far in my life. Phew! What a relief that is. Over and out.......

Cat Attraction

Sometimes I have been known to like unusual things. I don't think they are unusual but some of the rest of the world does. Did I ever mention how much I like to lick photographs? My mom has to hide them from me. And the ones she prints out are almost more than I can bear not to lick all the picture right off of them. Odd as that all may be, that is not my new love. Now I am going crazy over Off, the bug repellent! My mom puts that on and I can't stop trying to lick her skin. Actually she won't let me lick the stuff at all but I keep trying and trying. If it were up to me they would sell Off not as bug repellent but as cat attraction. MOL!
