Arrival Story: Ozzie was adopted from an animal shelter. Every time I walked by his cage, he would reach out and grab my hair. Truth be told, he adopted me. When I told the adoption counselor which cat I wanted, he said "Oh, the crazy cat." And he has certainly lived up to that appellation :)
Before Ozzie became his official name, several other names were tried like Norman (after Norman Bates because he is psycho), Midnight, Halloween and several others along that line. Ozzie turned out to be the best fit (think Ozzie Osbourne and Crazy Train): it's also the only name he responded to.

Bio: When Ozzie was brought into the shelter, he was unable to use his back legs. The shelter thought he had been hit by a car and that his legs were broken. Fortunately, x-rays did not show any broken bones and he slowly recovered. He is walking, but still has problems jumping. He tends to take a "hop", grab on with his front claws and drag himself up. He's going to have amazing upper body strength :)
Ozzie is a very affectionate kitten with his mom. He'll sit on my lap with his arms around my neck and give me kitty kisses. Then he'll spring away and dash around the house like a whirlwind. When he decides he has had enough of the kitten crazies, he'll drape himself across my shoulders while I'm at the computer.
Ozzie is a wonderful kitten and I'm so happy he adopted me.

Today Mommy cooked some fish for her lunch...and...and...I went crazy! I don't eat hooman food (well a little bit of turkey on Thanksgiving) so I normally don't care what Mommy eats. But, for some reason, today it smelled so good!
I jumped onto the counter then onto the stove. Mommy immediately made me get down. :( So I sat at her feet and meowed and meowed and meowed. This surprised Mommy because I'm such a quiet cat.
I looked at her with my big brown eyes, then gently put a paw on her leg and meowed in an itty bitty voice until she took pity on me. Mommy took a bit of fish, cut it into little pieces and put it into my bowl.
I can't express in words how excited I was. I was quivering and making sounds in my throat and weaving between Mommy's legs. I went over to my bowl and...and...and
I walked away. I didn't lick the fish. I didn't taste the fish. I just walked away. I guess I showed Mommy who is boss. MOL

Mommy's baking cookies.
Pepper and I are curled up on the couch watching Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer.
The Catmas tree lights are shining.
What a wonderful night.

Today Mommy set up a big Catmas tree. It's about 6 feet tall and has a hundred million lights on it! And I've decided it's Mine, Mine, MINE!
I went over to the Catmas tree and I smelled it. It smells pretty good, kind of like outside.
Then I got on the branches on the bottom. Then I climbed up a little more. Then I climbed up to the top.
Mommy kept telling me to get down, but she was laughing and taking pictures of me. Well she better make up her mind: either I'm cute and can climb the tree or I'm naughty and need to stay off the tree. Mommy can't have it both ways, because it's Mine, Mine, MINE!
