Catherine (or Cat) Holm is the author of the short story collection My Heart Is a Mountain: Tales of Magic and the Land (Holy Cow! Press) and the upcoming Driving with Cats: Ours for a Short Time (North Star Press). As Ann Catanzaro, she writes cat fantasy fiction. She is a professional member of the Cat Writers' Association.
Cat is also a certified Hatha yoga instructor, and occasionally gives workshops for writers using the simple and powerful tools of yoga.

What I Do for a Living: I write books and stories, including literary fiction, cat fantasy fiction, and creative nonfiction. I freelance write and edit for a web design company and I am an online writing tutor. I also teach yoga, which I love!
What I Do for Fun: Gardening, dancing, music (making it or listening to it), writing, reading, yoga, cross country skiing, getting together with good friends, being in the woods and in nature, traveling!
The Furry Members of My Household Are: Kali Ma (sweet 17-year-old female with three legs and and going strong!), Karma (beautiful and sweet silver tabby with Siamese markings), Rama (big beautiful black male cat with a clownish streak), Chester (loving orange tabby male who takes care of everyone), Kieran (sweet Turkish Van male who loves music), and Jamie Bluebell (lively female tortoiseshell kitten and the newest addition to the household).
My Favorite Things to Write About Are: Our relationship to the land, magic, magical realism, cats and cat fantasy, human emotion.
My Pet Peeves Are: Not sure I have any. I'm pretty easygoing. Winter driving can send me over the edge.
My Guilty Pleasures Are: Massage!! Deep tissue and/or hot stone massage are special favorites. And chocolate -- the good stuff.
How I Deal with Cat/Dog Hair: I religiously use a Dyson vacuum. And I brush my cats.
What I Want to Be When I Grow Up: Exactly what I'm doing now, with more traveling and more money rolling in:)
