Since early 2009, when I put my cat, Romeo, on Twitter, I’ve spent my days researching, writing, and talking about pets. From writing articles for leading pet outlets and blogging at my own pet sites to advocating for pets in need and helping pet brands understand their consumers a little better, I seem to have my paws in everything pet! 

I have several blogs, www.romeothecat.com, www.thehappylitterbox.com, and www.dailynuzzles.com. Through my Romeo the Cat blog, sponsors, and social media activities, I’ve raised more than $65,000 for pets in need. I’m also the co-founder of pet blogging community BlogPaws.com.

I spend my days working on pet stuff and my evenings and weekends corralling a crazy houseful of kids and cats. And one husband. But at least he can feed himself.

What I Do for a Living: I’m a pet blogger, writer, and PR and content specialist for the pet industry

What I Do for Fun: I am always having fun! But when I’m not working I am hanging out with my family – my husband and two daughters (ages 4 and 16 months) and doing family stuff like bike riding, playgrounding, and ice cream slurping.

The Furry Members of My Household Are: Romeo, red and white bicolor Persian boy, 9 years old; Pugsley, black Persian boy, 7 years old. They are my furry little loves!

My Favorite Things to Write About Are: Pets! Litter box issues, kids and pets, and sweet stories about the pet-human bond.

My Pet Peeves Are: Haters. People who try to bring others down.

My Guilty Pleasures Are: I love my spa days. And I don’t feel (that) guilty about them.

How I Deal with Cat Hair: I wear black a lot so with a white cat, it can be a problem! We have lots of grooming sessions, I use several types of vacuum cleaners in different parts of the house, and I go through a lot of sticky rollers. But I still end up with cat fur stuck to my butt.

What I Want to Be When I Grow Up: I love what I do now, so I want to keep on doing it when I grow up!
