BJ Bangs is an accomplished journalist, photographer, communications professional, and blogger who has developed a real love for cats, and wants to share that love by writing about issues that affect them.

Cats show unconditional love, and that’s one thing that makes them special. No two are alike, and they know when you are down, or upset, or happy and jubilant. They are the most unbelievable creatures. There’s nothing better than snuggling up in front of the wood stove with five of the best feline friends. They truly are her BFFs.

What I Do for a Living: When I’m not writing about cats, I write about other stuff

What I Do for Fun: Playing with cats, gardening, golfing, playing guitar, photography, video, reading, hiking, and of course, more playing with cats.

The Furry Members of My Household Are: Clyde (my tuxedo), Pink Collar (all black with a little white star on her chest); Linus (my Siamese, and the cat that truly changed my life); Little Yellow (a rather large silver Maine Coon look-alike); and Lenny (the baby kitty rescued from a brush pile about to be burned at one week old). 

My Favorite Things to Write About Are: Everything and anything about cats as well as a little bit about here, there, beyond and the bizarre. 

My Pet Peeves Are: People who just don’t get it in addition to people that are mean to animals and their humans

My Guilty Pleasures Are: Lounging around with kitties on a snowy winter day.

How I Deal with Cat/Dog Hair: What would I do without it? It’s just par for the course and a part of life. But I do keep a lint roller in the car, just in case.

What I Want to Be When I Grow Up: Will I ever grow up? But my goal is to become a well-known author and cat writer.
