There’s a New Cat in Town!

Hi, my name is Dorian and I am obsessed with cats.

There, I said it. I would have yelled it, but some people think typing in all caps is rude. I love cats. Love, love, LOVE cats. (OK, just a little bit of caps.) Big cats, tiny cats, baby cats, fat cats, stripey cats, floofy cats, bald cats, crazy cats… you name it.

And that’s why I’m super excited to share that I’m going to be blogging here from now on! We’re going to have lots of fun, I just know it.

Here’s a little bit about me, so you can get to know me:

I have two cats, Pimp and Moo. Pimp is going to be 13 on the 4th of July and Moo turned 3 on Halloween. (All my cats have birthdays on holidays, of course. I just pick one that’s close to when they were probably born and assign it to them!) I’m sure they’ll make some blogging appearances here, too!

Pimp got his name because I got him when I was still in college, and I had three other girl roommates at the time — making him the Pimp! Makes sense, right? Here’s Pimp’s Catster page.

Moo showed up on my back porch a couple years ago and camped his little cow-spotted self out there for three weeks until I finally caved in, decided I loved him and would be crushed if he disappeared and brought him inside as a permanent part of our family. I’m so lucky he picked me, and I tell him that every single day! Here’s Moo’s Catster page.

I feed a whole bunch of feral cats at my office parking lot. There are 11 of them, and they all have names. I even go out of my way to feed them on the weekends! I’m sure I’ll share more about them here later. They are the best part of the workday! My trunk is full of dry food, canned food and water so I’m ready at all times.

I wear black clothes and cat hair proudly.

I vacuum my comforter once a week, because my boys love to sleep with me and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Ditto for the couch.

You can also find me on my other blog,YourDailyCute.com (I started two and half years ago and it’s my favorite thing to do. The people I’ve met through it are amazing!). It’s mostly cute cat videos, but I like to throw in the occasional baby goat, puppy or bunny.

I started SantaPawsDrive.com, and for the past two years, me and a few of those awesome people I’ve met have run the first ever virtual toy drive so animals in shelters can get Christmas presents, too! It is without a doubt the one thing I’m most proud of in my life.

I have pictures of my cats in my office. They are my children.

I dress my cats for all the holidays. Pimp has a wardrobe (nowhere near as fancy or big as Skeezix’s wardrobe, though!) and he’s dressed up as something different every year for Halloween for all of his last 12 years!

I’m sure there’s more, but I think that’s a good intro for now. I’m so happy to be here and I hope you all will keep coming by to share this blog and some good times with me!

So now that you know all about me, I’d love to know about you…

What are your pets’ names and how old are they? Share them in the comments and let’s brag about our furry babies a little!
