On March 15, pet adoption is going to take over the internet.

Catster is partnering with Petfinder and many other pet-centric sites to stage an electronic coup by spreading the word about pet adoption and helping homeless pets find homes.

In honor of Petfinder’s 15th birthday, the organization has designated Tuesday, March 15, as Adopt the Internet Day. The folks at Petfinder are asking pet bloggers to make their posts that day about adoption. You can write about what adoption means to you, feature a happy tail adoption story, tell your readers why adoption is important, or feature one of Petfinder’s shelter and rescue-nominated Adopt The Internet All-Star Adoptable Pets.

Petfinder will in return host a blog hop, a list of links to posts on pet blogs about adoption stories. Blog hops are great tools to inform new readers about your website or your work in the cat adoption world.

Kitty News Network has reported a number of stories about adopted cats who have performed heroic acts or defied the odds to survive dangerous situations. We will participate in the event by highlighting these tales.

Catsters who have blogs on their cats’ profiles can get in on the action, too. If one of your cats is a rescued or adopted cat, KNN encourages you to participate and spread the word about the importance of adoption and rescue.
