Four-Eared Cat Born in Russia

In 2004, a German cat named Lilly became famous for her four ears. Four years later, four-eared Chicago cat Yoda also found photos of his famous ears in newspapers across the globe

Now, Luntik, a darling 3-month old kitten in Vladivostok is tasting the bounty of four-eared fame. The Internet community is speculating that this genetic aberration is somehow a consequence of the 1986 Chernobyl nuclear meltdown, but at this point that’s purely idle conjecture.

Although Luntik, who lives in a service station, was born with an extra set of ears, he doesn’t possess heightened aural senses. The small vestigial ears positioned slightly in front of the main ones don’t possess ear canals and are non-functional.
