The latest update of Colonel Meow Watch 2013 came yesterday, when the Colonel’s Slave Beast accompanied by Boots the dog (Did you know Boots is a lady dog?!) posted a video expressing gratitude for the cooperative effort of Colonel Meow’s minions.
Together the Colonel’s devoted legions managed to raise more than $20,000, exceeding the $15,000 goal of the original fundraiser to help pay for Colonel Meow’s medical costs — and they did it all in less than 24 hours. The Colonel just has that sort of influence, you know? Were you one of those generous folks?
In their video, Slave Beast and Boots are overcome by the kindness and compassion of the Colonel’s minions, and she promises that whatever money is left over after the Colonel comes home safe and sound will be donated to other animals who may be struggling to cover vet bills. As you know, those usually aren’t cheap!
Colonel Meow is still in the hospital receiving the best care possible. Last night, Slave Beast posted a photo of her cuddling the kitty, explaining how wrapping him up in blanker burrito is helping his heart by keeping him warm.
Whatever happens, it’s great to know that money won’t be an obstacle to doing whatever it takes to keep Colonel Meow alive.
