Sad news in the cat world just reached us: Colonel Meow, the Internet’s scowliest, fluffiest feline celebrity, has died of as-yet-unknown causes.

The Colonel’s resident Slave Beast, Anne Marie Avey, wrote on Facebook this afternoon,

"Colonel Meow passed away yesterday evening. I will post more about the details when I’ve had a few days to grieve. Thank you so much for your understanding, Minions. Your love and support has meant the world to us both."
