First of all, what do you call a group of cats? We had to look it up! Did you know it’s called a clowder? Yeah — a clowder.
So what do you do if you’ve got a clowder of cats and you need to direct them from one place to another? How do you get cats to do anything besides what they want to do? We were wondering this when we came across this video of one human cleverly herding cats. Turns out it’s much simpler than you would have guessed. All you need is an enticing cat toy and then you’ve got them in the palm of your hand … or at the end of a stick.
Using this technique, the woman in the video manages to capture the attention of not one, not three, but six cats, and lead them in a wild chase around the room.
Okay, we’ll hand it to the human … but what is she going to do when the cats figure out they’re not getting the toy no matter how much they chase it? Then the game is up!
