Six Catster writers and one photographer have earned certificates of excellence from the Cat Writers Association, according to the group’s website. The named individuals entered works in the association’s annual contest. The certificates identify them as finalists; winners in multiple categories will be named at the BlogPaws conference in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, in May and will receive medals called Muse Medallions.
The Catster writers are Phillip Mlynar, Susan Logan McCracken, JaneA Kelley, Heather Marcoux, Lisa Richman and Jen Reeder. The photographer is Andrew Marttila. All the work named in the certificates appeared in Catster. Kelley received an additional certificate for her long-running blog, Paws and Effect.
The Cat Writers Association describes itself as an organization founded to encourage professionalism among cat writers, photographers, artists and broadcasters.
