Arrival Story:
My ex-husband and I adopted her when she was 3 months old. At the clinic where she came from, she climbed all the way up to my ex's ear to whisper, "Meow, meow." She hustles from the start! For food too.

Bio:
She waits up for me everytime I go out to work or anywhere else. I can hear her loud meows while I'm not yet inside the building! My mother (her grandma who gave her two fleece blankets which she loves to lay on) tells me Mimicakes (whenever she senses I have arrived) would approach her, look her in the face and meow continuously (like holding a conversation), making her grandma aware that mommy's arrived home! She is a trip! Ohh, how much I love her. I cannot imagine my life without Mimicakes. Her teeth has always been her problem. She just had 4 removed! She can still chew though. I'm glad she has VPI pet insurance because it took care of most of the bill. I should have gotten her used to having her teeth brushed when she was still a kitty. When she was an adolescent, I bought her all kinds of toothbrushes, but it was and still is impossible to brush her teeth. She definitely hates it. I guess I'd have to have her brushed by the vet every year, although I have concerns about the full body anaesthesia required to undergo brushing. Well, it's a lesser evil than periodontitis, which she had, and could have affected her major organs. Her mommy sent up so many novenas to St. Francis (beloved lover of animals and Mimicakes' guardian) that Mimicakes will get healed! I am looking around for a good deal on strollers so when the weather gets warm (it's been a long winterlike condittion this spring of 2007) I can take her out for fresh air without me chasing her around as she runs off to some bushes or to a neighbor's patio. I found some good deals on Ebay but I'm going to check out a brick and mortar store like Petsmart. I am excited about me and Mimicakes walking around here, a nice area with the mall just behind us.
