On Nov. 29th I lost my precious Berkeley and was grieving him. On Dec. 18th I took Bella to the cat hospital for her annual checkup. When I walked in the whole staff had big smiles on their faces and said to go look in the cages in back. There were 2 precious gray kittens, from a shelter, waiting to be neutered. I knew it was a sign from Berkeley. The receptionist quickly called the shelter to see if they were available for adoption. The larger, more mellow kitten was taken but the feisty smaller one had just become available that morning after his adoption feel through. That was another sign.
I looked at that devilish face and knew he was going to be a real handful. So I went back later that day to meet with the shelter owner, give her the adoption papers and fee, and brought him home.
Yes, he is a crazy little kitten. Gets into my plants, scratches the furniture, and ambushes Will and Bella but he is a sweetheart. He loves to cuddle just like Berkeley and we've had many signs that Berk's spirit is in this kitten.
He has a tail that curls backward over his back. From what I've read, it is a genetic mutation.
