Skills: Jumping to try to catch the laser on the wall, mol!
Arrival Story: Former owner was elderly, sick and unable to keep him beyond Feb 2012 and passed away due to the cancer. Since I'm home alone most of the time I made the decision to adopt him. He is an awesome cat! He greets visitors instead of running and hiding.
By here, I mean our current apartment! Everything went through just fine so once the calendar flips to June mom will be moving our stuff to the new apartment! She's really excited and can't wait to leave with 1 last door slam.
Last night was potluck so yesterday she made an easy apple pie (roll out crusts & canned filling - assemble & bake) to break the news to the few current neighbors who attended the dinner.
She can't afford a decent house so getting a better apartment is much more manageable.
Since everything is going great thus far mom went down and notified our current landlords about the move. This resulted in a small amount of additional paperwork to be filled in & signed once we know our move out day.
She got the fax # for the therapist so the paperwork about me can get done. She still needs to make a few last copies. With great credit, 4 years of always paying by the due date and other stuff this seems like a done deal.
Mom turned in the HRA's paperwork and requested copies they needed so now she just has a few more things to get done and a 1 page application for the new place. She and her mom went to take a look and they both really liked it a lot. It has very good plumbing and more room for me to expend my energy. The carpet was recently redone (6 months). It's very quiet so once everything is in place she thinks I'll settle in just fine.
She wanted to move out of this place last year but that didn't happen so she's hoping this time it sticks and we're out of here before the total plumbing reno gets into full swing.
She's meeting back up with the new landlord on Monday evening to turn in the paperwork, checks & copies needed but it sounds like this is a safe bet that this will be happening. Once the approval happens it will not be shown to anyone else.
The person wasn't home when she went to look but she found the kitty in a little crate in the bedroom. Looked kind of like me except black & white.
Mom's grandparents are moving next weekend so as they unpack she can take their boxes to start packing her stuff.
