Arrival Story:
He was in a litter of foster kitties. He was about 10 days old when he arrived. He was "too cute" to let go!

Benson has hyperesthesia syndrome and was a very trying youngster. He used to have crystals in his urine, but that was resolved with a wet diet. He is on a low dose of fluoxetine to help control his urinary mishaps and his rippling skin. He is a polydactyl with 23 toes. He has a happy drool. He's as sweet as they come!***On 10/21/13 along with a dental, he had a toe removed. I had been treating it for years as it would get infected, and now the infection went systemic. The bone was floating loose and not attached to anything. He is recovering well. For the time being, he no longer needs fluoxetine.

I sure am lucky - thanks Catster for picking me as a DDP today and thanks furiends for the gifties!!

I went to the vet yesterday and I'm feeling and looking good. Mom locked me in the computer room for a couple nights so I could chill out. There have been lots of kitties running around outside and they are even peeing on my front door. I've been spraying a lot and have to take more meds to calm me down. I go outside every morning and mark my yard so those kitties will understand this place is mine, and sometimes I just forget that I'm not supposed to do that in the house. I'll be 11 years old in a week and mom keeps hoping some day I will understand, but if not, we will continue to deal with it.

Luckily the kitty where mom volunteers decided to come out of the ceiling/floor. All the kitties are back in their foster room. We still have the two Whitesters (Dottie & Dixon) in the spare room. Dixon is now friendly and loves to be brushed and petted, but Dottie scampers under the bed when peeps visit. They went to an adoption event this week, and next week go to a college to get their teeth cleaned.

We are loving the warmer weather - Spring is finally here! We wish you a purrfect weekend!

Yahoo - I'm Diary of the Day!

Well this is sure exciting! Thank you Catster fur making my day spawcial!

I'm done with my medicine and have been feeling better. Each morning when mom opens the kitty door I run out in the yard and munch on the nip that's just starting to peek up through the soil. Then I roll around on it and act silly. After doing my duty, I run back in to my heated bed and spend most of my day there, until mom wakes me up to eat.

There's been a situation at the place where mom volunteers. A cat is lost between the floor and ceiling, and they can't get it to come out. The foster room has been shut down and the cats had to come out. There is now quite a bit of overcrowding. I'm not allowed to see them, but mom says there are two white kitties, named Dottie and Dixon, in our spare bedroom. They are very scared and hide all the time. We have to be very careful not to exchange germs.

Thanks fur the gifties and celebrating with me! Have a purrfect day!

What Next!

I just want to be healthy! Mom has been treating two of my infected toes for the last last ten days. This weekend she noticed my mouth was smelly and I was drooling and had bubbles coming out. Mom knew I wasn't feeling my best as I also didn't want to eat. I had a dental about 7 months ago, and last month I was in for my 6 month wellness check. Everything was a okay.

Off to the vet again. I have an ulcer on my tongue, small red bumps on my lips, and my gums are swollen and red. My vet says it's probably a virus, or I got into something I shouldn't have. Now I have to take Onsior and buprenorphine to see if it will help me feel better. Mom says I'm purrty cranky - but she doesn't blame me. She knows how it hurts to have a canker sore on her tongue.

My wish is for healthy toes, tongue, gums, and lips - and no more medicines! I also wouldn't mind some warmer days with lots of sunshine!

Disgruntled purrs,
