The Department of Animal Sciences at the University of Illinois is offering a first-of-its-kind online certificate program in pet nutrition.
Open to pet owners, as well as veterinarians and other industry professionals, the program consists of four courses, three of which must be completed to earn certification. Topics covered include canine and feline metabolism, nutrient functions and requirements, pet nutrition and disease, pet food ingredients and more. Courses will be taught by faculty from the University of Illinois. The program is set to launch in August 2019.
