Brenda Watts sells birdhouses, rolling pins, and serving boards in her Cattails Woodwork Etsy shop, but it’s her feline-inspired pieces that are truly the cat’s meow.

The handcrafted candle triptychs are a marriage of her woodworking skills with the artistic talents of a painter named Molly Poole. While Watts provides the craftsmanship behind the decorative candle sets, Poole adds a feline touch with her beautiful paintings, inspired by cats from local shelters.

Brenda’s candle stands are made from solid yellow birch, obtained from sustainable and eco-friendly sources, while the tea lights are hand-poured pure beeswax made by an artisan in New York state. Molly’s prints are produced with high-pigment inks on quality paper, and are made to stand up to UV damage and wear and tear.

The collaboration between the two began as a long-distance friendship sparked by a shared love of Golden Retrievers (Watts owns dogs, along with three British Shorthair cats), and they refer to their creative partnership as “Granite and Grain.”

The ladies also teamed up on a feline-inspired desk caddy, just right for stashing pencils and pens. What a unique and lovely way to help keep your New Year’s resolution of getting organized on track!

Cattails Woodwork is based out of Canada, and Brenda is happy to help customers bring a touch of nature into their home. To learn more, visit her Etsy shop.
