Mr. Pip doesn't like noise or bad weather. He absolutely despises soccer. And he loves nothing more than to stare down dogs from his garden perch.

Rose Oughton of Norfolk, England, is the caretaker of this disgruntled Persian-Burmese mix. She adopted the 8-year-old cat about a year and a half ago.

In addition to his disgust with noise and sports, he doesn't like cold weather.

"Whenever it's windy or cold, he will just come into the house and into his little igloo," she said. "He always looks that grumpy and acts it as well."

But even on those occasions when Mr. Pip is happy, you wouldn't know it from looking at his "sour-puss" face.

"My two daughters are always saying how fed-up he always looks, but he's an affectionate cat really," Oughton said.

Mr. Pip's constant look of discontent actually had the widow and mother of two worried that there might be something wrong with him. She even took him to the vet for a checkup to make sure he was healthy.

"I was a little bit worried to start with because I didn't know if he was in pain or unhappy or something like that," she said. "But when we took him to the vet, they said his face is perfectly normal and there's nothing to worry about."

"The reason he looks so glum is because of the Burmese in him."

And how does Mr. Pip act with his family?

"He is far from being a lap-cat, but we get on OK," Oughton said.
