If you haven’t already fallen in love with Oskar the blind kitten, you soon will. I promise. Oskar is an adorable kitten who was born without fully formed eyes, but that doesn’t stop him from playing and being just as silly as any kitty could be!
This week, his people decided to put up a Christmas tree, so Oskar decided it was his to conquer.
It’s absolutely amazing how normal he is, despite being blind. It’s also great how his family knew to decorate the tree with nothing breakable. It’s like they knew they were putting up a big cat toy …
Now that you’ve watched Oskar the Blind Kitten have a fun Christmas, don’t you wish all other special-needs kitties could have loving homes like his? Many people shy away from adopting these otherwise-perfect cats, and they are stuck at shelters for the holidays.
If you can spare a second, I have a favor to ask that could help blind and other special-needs cats in shelters have a very special Christmas this year. If you don’t already know, I founded SantaPawsDrive.com three years ago. Our goal is to send toys and treats to shelter animals so they can have a happy holiday, just like pets with homes would. This year we’re focusing on shelters that help special needs pets — like Blind Cat Rescue and Sanctuary!
Today only, December 6, there is a poll on the Fancy Feast Facebook page among three organizations, and Santa Paws Drive is one of them! I’m so excited. You can go there and vote for your favorite (I’d love if you chose Santa Paws Drive!), and the winner with the most votes gets the wedding gowns used in the Fancy Feast “Love Story” wedding commercials!
If we win these, we get to auction them off, and all the proceeds will go to our Santa Paws Drive shelters. It’s a great opportunity to help us make sure these special-needs shelter animals have the most special Christmas ever!
So, if you could spare a second and a click, please visit the Fancy Feast Facebook page and vote for Santa Paws Drive! If you could, please spread the word and tell your friends, too! Thank you so very much. Every vote helps!
And of course, if you’d like to donate toys or treats or money to help us send Christmas cheer our shelters’ way, please visit SantaPawsDrive.com for more information and to donate.
This is my favorite thing to do every year!
