New Jersey Catster KujuKu has achieved national fame by winning a coveted spot on the 365-Cats page-a-day calendar. KujuKu is a gorgeous blue-eyed Japanese Bobtail who’s a natural model. We asked KujuKu to describe how he found out he won:
Meowmy is always snapping pictures of me and my sisfur.
Last year around Christmas time when we were decorating the house I was watching atop the bird cage in my bed (yes, I have a fluffy bed on the 6 foot high bird cage, It kinda keeps the parrot in line MOL).
My cute little face was peering at the glistening decorations when Meowmy stuck a simple ornament in my bed – I looked so cute she couldnt resist to run and get the camera . Well needless to say she was in “awe” over this picture.
During the holiday season one of meowmy’s coworkers Linda, gave her a 2009 – 365 page a day kitty calendar, inside it was entry forms to send in pictures to qualify to win a spot in the 2010 calendar. After seeing this we thought we had JUST the right picture and sent it in before the February 2009 deadline. We just had a funny feeling we would win, after all who could resist my purrfect black mask, those big baby blues, and my sweet loving face?
On the entry form it said that winners will be notified by mail on Sept 13, geeeezzz thats a long time to wait from February till September! The suspense was killing me. Sept 13 came and went and meowmy and I was about to give up hope. She went on vacation for a week and when she came back there was a small white package waiting for her on the coffee table. Could it be? Is it? YES it is !!! We made it ! A congratulation letter along with a free calendar as a gift for winning a place in the 2010 calendar on December 20th 2010. And not only did I win that I also won “Winner of the week” Yippeeeee !
I was so excited I was running around the house like crazy! my poofy bobtail was all afluff, my pink nose and toe pads were blushing, and my ears were twitching with delight. We couldnt wait to tell all my catster friends and family, I even teased my sisfur Kisu.
If you would like to get one they usually have them at bookstores – It’s called the 365 page a day calendar by Workmans Publishing Company in New York.
Happy New Years!
