I was born in Mettes sisters garden, everyone thought my mum was a stray (she kind of lived next door, where she was born...), so I'm kind of a mix between a stray and a kitten given by a friend...
Our most recent additions to the furmily were born in the backyard! PJ wandered into the yard last year and had 2 litters of kittens before Meowmy could catch her & get her fixed. So We brought them inside when we could. We had homes lined up for all of them but one by one the homes fell thru. Meowmy wouldn't take them to the shelter, because it was already over run with cats and kittens and it is not a no kill shelter(they try they're best but Meowmy wanted to know for sure our babies would be ok). So they all got to stay and our family grew. They are D.C., Toes, Onyx, Mishka and my namesake Zelda.
I really like them , just don't tell anybody.
Loves to all Zeeke

I was found in the parking structure of meowmy's work. Not even by her! Her friend called and said she had to come down and get this cutest kitten (ME!!!) that she found. Meowmy wasn't going to keep me; she was going to ask a friend of hers that fosters to help, but one night with meowmy and she said I was a KEEPER!!!
Hi, my name is Smudge, and i sort of just 'took-over" my current Huma's home & life.
You see, I was very "Needy", being a unwed, Teenaged Mommy of 6 darling babies...I sort of showed my Momma Carol "one" of my special cute kittens, then sort of "sprung" the rest of them on her.
Me and the neighborhood children were in "cahoots" MOL! They helped me to "confuse" Momma Carol just enough, that she didn't notce that we snuck 5 more babies, into the nest. Now she cannot turm us away! MOL!
Also, I knew she would not be able to "resist" me, because I am the reincarnated "soul" of her beloved Kitty, "Patches" (397879). I painted my fur to look like hers, sort-of... Momma Carol is praying to her God, for "guidance" and a new job, so that she can help us to go on to a happy "Future"!
Purrs & Kitten breath,

My Mistress got me from a foster lady who takes in poor, homeless and unsheltered dogs and cats. See, I did have a former owner, but she broke her hip and had to move in with a son of hers. One of her other sons wanted to take me out and shoot me, but my owner called the humane society, who sent out a foster lady who took me in. On the other side, Mistress wanted another kitty, so she was going to go to Petsmart's adoption fair but it didn't work out. But her friend Jen met the foster lady at a doctor's waiting room one day, since Jen has a guide dog, Lyndi, they started talking about pets and she described me to Jen. Jen said that my new Mistress Niki would like to consider maybe taking me in. They exchanged phone numbers and when Mistress came home from work, she got an email with the whole story about me. Mistress felt like there was a force bringing her to the phone, calling the lady, having her bring me over. . .. and the rest is history!
All of us are adopted from either shelters/rescues or as strays! We are so happy to see that pet stores are not the primary poll result here! MEOOOW!
Buster was a stray and he hung out with my husband and I one day when we were doing landscaping. He got our hearts and now he's totally one of the family! Had him over 5 months now.
I adopted my pets when their daughter fell in love with me. But as you see, I am beautiful and all humans want to touch me. I suckered my male pet in with my cute attitude and fighting. (He likes to think he made me mean! I let him think it!!) I have been with my pets for over 12 years now. I am so spoiled, they do whatever I tell them to!!
Mom saw my adopted sister and me at her vet's office, and took pity on us both. We are older kitties, so we were especially fortunate to go to our new homes together.
I and my littermates were the result of an unplanned teenage pregnancy. No human has ever admitted to owning my father - probably afraid of being hit up for kitten support!
I was a foster cat who stayed because my person just couldn't give me up
My human Grandma was a volunteer at the shelter I was living at. When my Mom & Dad came in to adopt a cat, Grandma made sure they met and played with me because I had already won her heart.
My first set of parents could not take care of me anymore since the were moving. I was then adopted by their daughter. She loves me bunches. I also have two new sisters, Naya and Tashie Pie. We are one big happy family!

This just goes to show how there are far to many cats being born to end up unwanted in shelters or left to stray. The one's who've found homes with Catsters are the lucky ones....so many more aren't so lucky. Don't breed or buy while shelter pets die!
A mean man abandoned his apartment and me! Left me there all by myself with nothing to eat! My mommy to be heard me through the bedroom walls. I cried all night. When she came to investigate in the morning~ i recognized her voice.(She kept asking, "what's the matter baby"?)
The vet thought I was about 6 weeks old.
But that's all history.
I am now a happy 3 months old purring machine!
I am also happy to see that nobody bought kitties from a store or even a breeder.
If only the rest of the world was as enlightened as catster families!

I sat outside my mama-chick's window and yelled, "Hey, lady! I know you're in there. Come out and get me! I'm tired of living on the streets!"
I was going to be put down if I did not find a new home within the next two weeks. I did not fit into my old owners new life and she wanted rid. It had been 5 months since my Mummy had lost their 2nd young cat to car accidents. She came across me whilst working at the cattery, phoned my old owner with some questions and 3 days later I moved in with my new mummy and daddy. They were not prepared on getting a new older cat, but mummy says she never regretted for a minute. Been here nearly one year now and loved very much :o)
I decided I didn't want to live with 5 dogs any more so moved down the street a few houses to where there were some people who looked like they could use a furry friend. My former mommy still comes by to see me from time to time and remembers me at Christmas. She's happy that I have a new family that loves me.
My furst owners (not sure they qualify as family) moved and left me behind. My kind neighbour took me and my 2 kittens (my precious NEW family) to the Humane Society. My new Mom saw us the first day we arrived on Petfinder. She fell in love with my son and adopted him ASAP. My daughter was adopted locally. Weeks went by and Mom phoned to ask if anyone had shown any interest in me. Perfect Timing! It was a KILL shelter and I was scheduled. My new Mom said "I WANT HER TO LIVE!" So my son and I are living Happily Ever After with our new Mom and our Big Sisfur. We believe in Miracles!
Chloe is living with us now. She belongs to The Young Woman. My Mama calls her the Creamsicle Cat. I just call her the Interloper. Don't think I wanna know what she calls ME! Chloe is on Catster too..., someplace, don't care, visit ME!
I am a rehomed kitty. Arranged through Catster between Catster members and transported by yet more Catster members.
Our three most recent, Maggie, Sienna, and Kubota, were left in a box in the bed of our pickup truck. Best box in the whole world!
I. Maximus, was born into the family, along with my sisters, Xena and Elise (my human gave them away when we were 7-week-old kittens). Ruby is my mommy and she picked our human when she was a stray kitten.
All rescues in this family! Humane society, Chicago Canine, Siamese Rescue (Me, Minka), Strays in the Garden, and two of us found on the streets as kittens!
I had a home, right across the driveway at the house next door. But, they had other cats and dogs and I wanted to be the QUEEN of the house - there should be no other pets, only ME.
So, I wandered across the driveway and started hanging out with my now Family. When the caretaker of me at my first home moved (and couldn't bring me along), Mommy asked if I could move in with them.
And here I am - the QUEEN of all and everyone I sleep on!!

I'm from a kill shelter, same one as Taillee was in. I had just been brought in when mama just stopped by on a whim looking for a black cat. Good timing!!
Taillee was mama's first as an adult. She wanted a black kitty, but there weren't any. They said there were no friendly ones, but they must have not picked Taillee up cuz she's lovey!
Tigger was from a friend who's husband was very ill and she needed to rehome her kitties to have time to care for him.
Zilla mama got from work. Another lady was going to get her but when mama heard she would be outside and likely not fixed, she became our sister.
Lilly is from a no-kill shelter a LONG way off. Her face was irresistable... to mama only... mol!
Gaia is from mama's job too. She'd be an angel by now if mama hadn't just happened to pick her up. I'm glad she's not an angel, but not too sure yet on the fifth sister thing...

My sister and I still live with our furmum
I was all hissy and trying to bite the staff at the SPCA so I got pulled from the adoption floor and had only 3 days to live when my new mum adopted me. Woo hoo!
My mom and dad took me in after her work friend found me and my 4 sisters on a curb under some tires. My momcat's owner didn't want us so he left us to fend for ourselves at just under 3 weeks old. :-( But all my sisters and I were adopted and have warm and loving homes now. Mom and dad call me MacGyver because I could escape to look for a warm bottle using only my rice sock and my woobie even at that age! I'm almost 16 whole weeks old now. Mom made it thru bottle feeding and weaning me without going completely insane. I gave her a break on the litter box stuff and taught myself but I'm teething now so she'll probably worry about her "little girl" while I rake in the tummy rubs. Heh heh heh. Life is good.
Mommy found me on the street.
I just sat there and she picked me up.
(I was secretly waiting for her)

Actually they didn't pick us we picked them at a Gas Station in town, The Humans looked like people who love cats and we were homeless and afraid of thr big trucks. They have a lovely home and we have been here two years.
