Over 3,000 pets have been reportedly killed in this tragedy and it's believed more dangerous food may still be on the shelves. Curious Cat Tip #102
Q: With the warmer weather coming, you may notice that pretty kitty is experiencing a bad case of dry flaky skin. What is the best way to get that cat dandruff under control?

A: First, check with your vet, especially if the dryness is particularly bad. But one thing that may help relieve dry, itchy skin is to add a bit of fish oil or a fatty acid supplement to Tabby's food. Other suggestions: try using a gentle baby shampoo like Johnson's, and/or using a humidifier. Hope that stops all the catastrophic cat scratchin'.

Catster Community: Letting Go of Grief
Check out this heartfelt note that Sami, Christopher, Oreo and Callie's mama meowed in to Catster:

I joined Catster in July of last year. A friend recommended that I check it out since I had just lost my beloved Manya to cancer. I looked around the site and immediately signed up. My first page was dedicated to Manya, and then I added my other cats: Sami, Christopher, Oreo and my latest adoptee Callie. In the beginning, the wonderful Rainbow Bridge Kitties group helped me deal with the grief of losing my pet. And now I have made so many new friends, both human and furry, since I have been with Catster. Thank you so much for doing what you do!

We love to hear how Catster has changed/improved/bettered your life. Keep meowing those tales to catsters@catster.com. If we use your letter in an upcoming newsletter, we'll credit your account 10 Zealies!

Meow at you later!

May all animals be happy and safe,
