Editor’s note: We know nothing about Assassin’s Creed, except that it is some sort of role-playing third-person turtle-grooming game from New Zealand or something. That also might be a little off, actually.
We love people who make parody videos out of cats, inserting them into popular culture staples such as Star Wars and Game of Thrones. Assassin’s Creed is a video game series, which, as a cat website, means we must turn to Wikipedia for a starting point on instruction. The site grits its teeth and says it’s an “historical fiction action-adventure open world stealth video game series.”
Huh. Do all those words belong in there?
“Assassin’s Kittens Unity” is, of course, the catified version of the new game in the series, Unity. The part we’re concerned with here is “kittens.” And the kittens in this video are aces.
Look at this kitten:
In the video created by Mr.TVCow, the kittens wear historically accurate cloaks — cloaks! — staging a full-blown sortie against some British guys who are busily screwing around. They jump into haystacks, climb rocks, race through the forest, leap over mighty benches, climb trees, and run down and kill the British guys, which must be the goal of Assassin’s Creed.
They’re the most badass kittens even ever seen, and we’ve seen a lot of badass kittens.
According to a writer at CatChannel, who claims to be a longtime fan of Assassin’s Creed, “This parody captures perfectly the many unique elements of the game that have made it so loved by its fans.”
So, there’s that.
And then it has this:
What in God’s name. That’s the greatest thing we’ve ever seen. Watch the video:
