Merlin's Coffee

Merlin's Coffee is a cute little coffee shop in the Gettysburg outlet mall on Route 15. The shop is named for Merlin -- one of the owner's family of nine kitties. We figure they have 81 lives among them! Anyway, it's a great stop for cat lovers -- and coffee lovers alike. The shop is decorated with all kinds of cute cat pictures, posters, and knick-knacks. The shop roasts its own coffees, and each variety carries the name of one of the feline family members. There's even a poster showing adoptable cats in the area. That's because the shop owners support Appalachian Cat Rescue (www.appcat.petfinder.com). The coffee is pretty good too! Our mommy got a Peppermint Patty -- a delicious peppermint/white chocolate latte. Mommy didn't save any for us because chocolate is bad for cats, but you'd think it was catnip for how much mommy liked it! The shop's web address is www.merlinscoffee.com, although we couldn't get the link to work when we tried it. So, if your pawrents are in the Gettysburg PA area, they should definitely stop in. // Beckham

Pet Pantry helped mommy find safe foods

Pet Pantry is a teeny little store wedged between a futon place and a Chevy Chase Bank on Connecticut Ave. in DC. The owner ordered some Felidae for mommy to try and also let us know about Innova Evo, which is a grain-free food. The owner was friendly and interested and helped my mommy find what she was looking for.

Dr Moore is great!

As much as I hate going to the vet, I have to admit that Dr. Moore's office has helped me a lot! Last year, I had a problem with my gums, and Dr. Moore cleaned my teeth for me. I feel so much better now! Dr. Moore helped my mommy and daddy a lot when a couple of my old pals went to the bridge. Mommy and Daddy cried and cried. Dr. Moore understood and tried to make them feel better. Dr. Moore's office has moved. It's not in Bowie anymore. I don't know where it is now... I'm always riding in a cat carrier in the back seat, so I can't see out the window too well. My mommy says the new place is in Wayson's Corner and their web address is http://www.acnbveterinary.com. Update: The clinic has had some problems with reopening in their new location. They're still not open as of April 15.
