This area would have been nice for some off leash fun, but it seems all of the owners who visit this park just let their dogs off leash in the general park area. We met some nice people, but the disregard for park rules and the safety and comfort of other park visitors was a turn off. Is it really so hard to walk down to the dog run instead of congregating on the path?

dogs and owners are usually pretty friendly.
