“Western Great Lakes Akita Rescue (WGLAR), is a 501(c)3 Not For Profit Organization dedicated to the rescue, care, placement, and overall well being of Akitas in need. Staffed entirely by volunteers, our mission is to save, heal, and ultimately rehome unwanted Akitas. Through the use of foster homes, volunteer services, and a careful adoption process, WGLAR strives to enhance the lifes of these regal animals who find themselves unwanted, abandoned, or abused by previous 'owners'. ”
