“Shelter and rescue for dogs, cats, puppies, kittens, rabbits and assorted small creatures. Foster opportunities are available also”
Cat adoption events too!In addition to regular shelter services, SAS sponsors Fabulous Felines adoption events at community centers in neighborhoods around the city. Cats and kittens in foster care are available for adoption at these events. The foster parents can tell you all about the cat's personality, likes and dislikes, and help decide if the cat is a good match for you. These events are especially helpful for people who need more information about how the cat will behave in a home, or for people who are uncomfortable visiting a shelter. You can check the website www.seattleanimalshelter.org to see where the Fabulous Felines events will be each month. |
Seattle Animal ShelterEveryone I've talked to has had a great experience there. I just visited today, lots of friendly people and volunteers, they seem to have no problem placing adoptable cats. About half were pitbulls, and not always adoptable. This is not their fault though, society's. |
They are unable to keep or place extremely aggressive animals or fighting dogs. They have an excellent fostering program and welcome volunteers and donations. 1 pet found this review helpful |
