Five paws for a compassionate lady and her business...

OK, so it's not the happiest of things to have to deal with. But the reality is, Mom had to say "good-bye" to three of us in 2006, and with the first, she realized that she would have to entrust -- sight unseen -- a stranger with taking care of Lillie's earthly body. Not an easy thing to deal with, and how does one go about doing such a thing when already grappling with a load of guilt and grief? Mom got lucky -- Shirley, the sole owner and operator of Cherish Pet Cremations, was a godsend. Not only is she "on call" 24-7-365, but she came to our house to take Lillie with her. Mom had to call Shirley again only a few months later when Milla passed, and not only did Shirley remember her, but was there at the vet's office once it was time. This addition and review isn't meant to make anyone sad, but rather to help those who can't think straight at a time in their lives when they will be their saddest. The last thing Mom wanted was for some skeevy person to take her beloved babies and treat their remains disrespectfully, and she would never want anyone else to have to enter into something like this blindly.
