Dear Clients,

Thank you for your continuing trust. For those of you who are new to this website or new to the practice let me tell you a few things about East Plano Animal Hospital, its staff, and myself. I’ve been a veterinarian for almost 20 years, and have been working with our furry friends since I was 17 years old. I received training from the University of the Philippines and also Cornell University (New York). My wife Jessica and I have two kids and four pets. We’ve been proud Texas residents for 15 years now. Our goal in this hospital (Your Hospital) is to provide the best possible care for your pets. We do this by: 1) Being honest and upfront. 2) Giving you all the options and keeping communications open. No pressure. 3) Promoting preventive healthcare. Regular wellness exams help catch potential problems. By doing this, you avoid crisis management that can be financially and emotionally draining. 4) We keep overhead expenses low. We get the best deals on medications and pass on the savings to you. 5) As a doctor, I’m always improving my skills. I stay up to date with cutting edge technology, but also stay with older proven cost effective remedies. Specialist referral is within reach as well as overnight care at an independent ER.

Our loyal staff will use their experience to make sure your pets receive the best care and treated with respect. All of our staff is dedicated to making sure your pets get all the loving care they need during their stay. This group is like family and we make sure your pets feel like they belong no matter how brief their stay may be. Most of the staff were clients, kids who grew up coming here with their pets. Dr. Brian V. Benjamin opened Ohio Drive Animal Hospital in June of 2003. He has been practicing in the Dallas area since his graduation from the Oklahoma State University School of Veterinary Medicine in May of 1992. Ohio Drive Animal Hospital is a full service small animal practice that focuses upon preventive medicine, internal medicine and surgery. Dr. Benjamin has many areas of special interest, including pain relief, emergency/critical care, dentistry, geriatric care, endocrinopathies, chronic ear infections and more. He also has a strong relationship with the local specialty practices and utilizes specialists regularly for input on complex cases.

Ohio Drive Animal Hospital is a fully equipped facility. We have a full service in-house laboratory that allows us to perform immediate testing on critical cases. Additionally, we have advanced dentistry equipment. We have machines for monitoring vital signs on anesthetized patients, as well as blood pressure monitors and other advanced diagnostic equipment.

Dr. Benjamin and Ohio Drive Animal Hospital work very closely with multiple rescue organizations in an attempt to help less fortunate patients who have been abandoned and are in need of medical care or assistance in being prepared for adoption or foster care.

At Ohio Drive Animal Hospital, our goal is to make you and your pet as comfortable as possible during your visit. We strive to provide you with decreased wait time, and always make client service a priority. Additionally, all of us enjoy rewarding our patients with as much T.L.C. as possible. We are very flexible and will do anything we can to make the visit less stressful for your loved one. Dr. Benjamin chooses his team members very carefully and specifically looks for individuals that can help him achieve these goals.
