“Lone Star Boxer Rescue is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the health and well-being of the boxer breed. LSBR is run and managed by volunteers. Our main objective is to rescue and re-home boxers that come to us from many sources, including local animal shelters, owner surrenders and strays. Making adoptions successful Our goal is to see that every boxer in rescue that comes our way gets a second chance to live a life they are so deserving of and given an abundance of love. Rescue involves more than just nursing a dog back to health and placing it in a home that will love and care for it. These dogs not only come into rescue sick, injured, traumatized and unwanted, they often lack necessary socialization and have behavior problems. Each issue must be dealt with to make an adoption successful. To complete the circle of success for these rescues, LSBR volunteers also have work with the prospective family members as they adjust. ”
