For Houston, Texas, area dog families and proud new puppy owners, Hunters Creek Retrievers offers Private In-Home On and Off-Leash Private Dog Training and Basic Obedience & Intermediate Hunting and Retriever Training.
Our philosophy differs from many other "professional dog trainers" who remove the dog from home and board during canine training. This can be very hard on any family and pet. We strive to educate our clients, no matter what age, in providing positive praise based training reinforcement with the dog and owner in familiar environments close to home.
As master you, and your family, are an integral part in training a well-mannered dog and working retriever. Hunters Creek Retrievers trains dog and master for success at home and in the field, our client's family have included children as young as 3 years old who have mastered canine commands within 8 weeks. We make house calls to assist each owner in puppy obedience or beginning and intermediate retriever training to achieve a successful canine companion utilizing verbal commands, hand signals and whistle training.

Rescue Organizations P.O. Box 541286 Houston, TX 7724 Lone Star Boxer Rescue is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the health and well-being of the boxer breed. LSBR is run and managed by volunteers. Our main objective is to rescue and re-home boxers that come to us from many sources, including local animal shelters, owner surrenders and strays.
Making adoptions successful
Our goal is to see that every boxer in rescue that comes our way gets a second chance to live a life they are so deserving of and given an abundance of love.
Rescue involves more than just nursing a dog back to health and placing it in a home that will love and care for it. These dogs not only come into rescue sick, injured, traumatized and unwanted, they often lack necessary socialization and have behavior problems. Each issue must be dealt with to make an adoption successful.
To complete the circle of success for these rescues, LSBR volunteers also have work with the prospective family members as they adjust.

Rescue Organizations 8420 Catalina Lane Houston, TX 77075 I rescue mostly dogs. I have rescued a few cats and kittens. When I have determined that there is not an owner, I take the animal to a Vet and get them healthy (spay, neuter, heart worm treatment, surgeries, etc... and put them up for adoption. I try to foster as many rescues as I can so that they are used to a home environment. This gives the animal a better chance when they go to a new home. I have also assisted a few other rescue groups and individuals with adoptions or boarding of rescued dogs. I am a certified obedience and behavioral trainer. I also assist one of my Vets with adoptable dogs that need a home. I do insist that all people interested in adopting one of my animals fill out an application and I do verify the information as well as do home visits. I am hoping to be able to start showing some of my rescues at a Petsmart in the next month or so.
