great kennel

My wife and I adopted a female Border Collie mixed breed that showed up at a friend’s house. We knew that it was going to be work, but we figured she would make a great pet once a few behavior problems were under control. We had a recommendation from another friend about a trainer who could give our dog lots of attention. However, just about all of her methods were incredibility tedious, unorthodox and honestly didn’t seem to be making progress. We were just about at the point of saying this dog wasn’t right for us. Then we found Meadowbrooke Kennels. We met with one of the trainers, Ace Russell, and he explained their training philosophy. He was honest with us and did explain that the breed, age, and sex of our dog was one of the most challenging to train. But balancing that, he told us that she was correctable and encouraged us to not give up on her. We decided to go with the boarding school plan where we leave the dog at the kennel for several weeks. This allowed them to work with her on a daily basis. The plan allowed for us to have two training sessions before she was returned. Additionally, it allows for more training free of charge over the next year as required. Now that she is back in our home, we realized that we made the right decision to go with Meadowbrooke. She is like a different dog. The dog we once considered finding another home for now is a permanent member of our family. I would recommend Meadowbrooke Kennels for obedience training for any dog. They also offer boarding and agility training.

Excellent training classes!!

Starbuck and I take agility lessons here on a weekly basis. The instructor, Ace, is amazing and my dog absolutely loves him. They have a very large fenced in yard for classes and lots of agility equipment.
