“This off leash dog area is located in the city's largest park which is a popular area for its extensive trails, its historical and educational opportunities, and for the variety of recreation available. The off leash dog area is about a ½ mile past the Blue Slide Playground on Riverview Trail. Dogs must be kept leashed until in the fenced area, and they must be under owner's control and cleaned up after at all times”
Frick Dog ParkFor the most part, owners are pretty good handling their dogs. Then there are those owners who are on their cell phones or expect someone else to babysit their rambunctious dog(s). There are also the understanding owners who see a small 6lbs. dog quivering in fear and make sure their dog doesn't bother them. There are more of the good owners than the bad owners. One problems it that this dog park is not entirely fenced in, and you can reach it through some bushes off of one of the trails. posted: August 7th, 2009 |
