“Alongside the historic Eastern State Penitentiary is a small privately maintained dog park. There are two dog runs, one for large dogs and one for small dogs. The run surface is covered in light colored stone, which is difficult for tiny paws. We did not see any benches or very much shade the day that we visited. There were, however, double gates for each entrance. ”
closedWe were very excited to visit this dog park and give Pepper a chance to meet some new friends in the area however, when we arrived we were greated by signs informing us that the park is now closed. Apparently someone complained about the dog park and it was found to not have the proper permits. The city close dthe park and is hoping to keep it closed. However, there are a couple of groups looking for support to get it re-opened. |
