Doc Turner

Doc Turner and the staff at W140th were extremely compassionate and gentle to our Mylie, when she came in inexplicably ill from a blood condition. They were supportive, patient, and kind in a very sad visit. Their kindness and patience helped meto leave in assured spirits as to the decision to put my girl down. THanks to Dr. Turner and the wonderful vet techs for making Mylie's last hours as comfortable as possible... and my conscience peaceful, as well. Only complaint is that there are other dog emergency clinics in the area that CAN complete blood tests at 2am over the weekend. W. 140th sends their bloodwork out on vet hours during the week. I hope they change that. If I ever need non-first aid emergency help again, I will probably go to Dr. Hart's where the lab techs are available all night hours and holidays... But this is the only reason in particular that I would choose Dr. Harts over w.140th. It may have made a huge difference in Mylie's outcome if I had more hope in her recovery with understanding of her condition to help me decide better. Since there was no diagnosis in site, and her condition was so grave, possibly painful and unsurvivable through the weekend until bloodtests could be completed, we chose to let her go. Treatment was completely uncertain of any sort of success because there was no understanding of what her condition was. It was a very rare condition, at her age. But bloodtests may have helped immensely. But if it is a sprain, broken bone, injury... I would go back to 140th in an instant! If they had bloodwork available during their hours, I would go back in an instant for illness. Thank you again to Animal Emergency Clinic West! Good people!
