“Humane Society and Veterinary service”
Excellent Care!I got all my shots there and also got spayed there...the care was excellent and the prices are the lowest in N.Y.C. You have to pay upfront when making the appointment, but that's how they keep their prices low. The staff was very professional and attentive. I'm very satisfied with them. 1 pet found this review helpful |
Great, Affordable ServiceThey are great and offer needed services at affordable prices. The downside is that you have to pay for the office visit up front and it is not refundable. They need to do that to keep services affordable. They are the best value in Manhattan. Most of the doctors are nice. You don't get to choose your doctor, but most of the doctors are really great. I ran accross one grumpy, mean doctor. You have to take the bad with the good. I think all of the doctors are working there because they love and care about animals. I can't say that about all private vets. 1 pet found this review helpful |
My mommy has taken me to the Humane Society for allergy checkups and to get spayed. She says they are VERY inexpensive, which is hard to find in New York. The service is good too. They work by appointment only, just call during regular business hours. You'll be asked to pre-pay so they can keep their rates so low. If you have a pet emergency they can work something out for you too. The waiting area can get crowded, but I made a few friends because of that. They also sell various pet products, like shampoos and carriers. If you're looking to adopt a pet, they have tons to choose from. I heard they don't kill animals that don't get adopted, which is great! 1 pet found this review helpful |
