Great place!

Mom volunteered there while she was in high school! And loved all the animals! The people that work there are great too! There is a new shelter manager but he works really well with the animals. Thats all this shelter wants is the best for the animals and it shows. VERY small shelter but they will do every thing possible to take in every animal necassary. While there I even heard stories of them taking in animals from other kill shelters just to give them a chance. I always love going back to visit!

overall good experience

I liked about them that they don't assume the worst about potential adopters. Some places make it a catch-22 to adopt: First time dog adopters are turned down because they haven't had a dog before, but how do you get your first dog if someone won't give you a chance. Goshen didn't look down on us, and we were thankful for that. However, we are out of state, and thus didn't license each year with them...yet we would get "past due" letters from them for years. Overall, they are a typical town pound turned shelter, which services multiple towns. They're small, but seem to care for both animals and people.
