Noah's Ark is a great vet in the Brookside area. In addition to two great doctors, they also have a wonderful and supportive staff. Scrappy's dealt with lots of health issues and they've been awesome throughout. They also have a partnership with a day-play/grooming/ boarding Dog House. If you have to board your dogs at the vet, they can get extra love and exercise at the day-play next door.

Founded by two Kansas dog lovers who faced dozens of homeless pit bulls daily that had to be turned away for lack of space and funding, Kansas Pit Bull Rescue was formed to assist pit bull type dogs in high-kill animal control facilities in the Midwest. With significant help from supporters and donors, KPR placed over a hundred needy Pit Bulls into responsible forever homes. MPR consists of a small network of foster homes in the Kansas City area. We are a nonprofit organization operated exclusively by volunteers. MPR is licensed with the state of Missouri and eligible to rescue dogs from shelters that don't adopt out Pit Bulls to the public. MPR only takes a few dogs at a time as space is very limited. We believe the quality of our dogs and the quality of our placements is more important than the quantity. We keep the dogs as long as it takes to find their perfect home.
