Digital/Dental X-Rays
As we continually strive to offer the highest quality medicine and digital diagnostic testing, we are pleased to offer radiology services as a means of providing excellent care to our patients.

A radiograph (sometimes called an x-ray) is a type of photograph that can look inside the body and reveal information that may not be discernible from the outside.

Radiography can be used to evaluate almost any organ in the body, including the heart, lungs, abdominal organs, teeth as well as the bones.

We can transmit the image and send the radiograph to any radiologist in the world and have a second opinion provided within a few hours. Now with downloading Smart Apps these images can be downloaded to your smart electronic devices.

Ultrasound is a form of non-invasive imaging superior than x-rays. This technology uses sound waves to examine internal organs and their motility. Ultrasound allows us to look within an organ, assess the internal anatomy, measure blood flow, and direct a specialized device to obtain samples of an organ without having to perform invasive surgery. When we use ultrasound to measure the heart, the procedure is called echocardiography. By doing ultrasound in-house is not only affordable but reduces the chance for referral to the specialty hospitals for such advanced diagnosis. We have option of remote sonographers/cardiologists to interpret your pet’s ultrasound images and provide comprehensive report and treatment plan for management of chronic diseases without going to the specialist. Following are most commonly performed scans in our hospital.

Complete abdominal scan
Echocardiogram (cardiac)
Chest u/s ( non-cardiac)
Pregnancy scans
Bladder and prostate scans

Each year, thousands of pets go missing, and many don’t make it back home. Many pets (especially indoor pets) don’t wear collars or tags. Even if your pet wears a collar and identification tag, collars can break off and tags can become damaged and unreadable, so these forms of identification may not be enough to ensure your pet’s safe return. Your pet needs a form of identification that is reliable and can’t get lost, stolen, or damaged. A microchip is a safe, simple form of identification that can significantly increase the chance that your pet will return safely.

A microchip is about the size and shape of a grain of rice and is placed underneath your pet's skin between the shoulder blades. Microchip implantation takes only a few minutes and is very safe. Each microchip is unique and carries vital information about your pet—including your name, address, and contact information. Veterinary hospitals, animal shelters, and animal control offices across the country are equipped with special electronic scanners that can detect the microchip and read the identification number. Microchipping is a safe, effective way to help ensure your pet’s return if the unthinkable happens. Ask us about microchipping your pet today!

Genetic Breed Testing
Where does Buddy get his curly tail from? Why does he love digging holes in the backyard? Could I be doing more to make him happier and healthier? Your dog may not be able to tell you the answers – but his D.N.A can. Wisdom Panel, the most comprehensive mixed-breed cheek D.N.A test on the market, can help explain a mixed-breed dog’s ancestry.

Over 25 million mixed-breed dog owners know their dogs…but not as well as they could. A blood sample is required to complete the Wisdom panel and can determine the ancestry of a mixed-breed dog by testing for more than 190 breeds, the largest database on the market. Within three weeks, dog owner will be receiving an official Ancestry Report that reveals the dog’s genetic background.

A dog’s ancestry can influence him in surprising ways. Obvious and not-so-obvious physical traits plus behaviors like digging, herding and barking all come from the various breeds in a dog’s family tree. Once an owner understands a dog’s natural tendencies, it makes it possible to create a tailored training, exercise and nutrition program to fit his one-of-a-kind needs.
